PCA Diversity Lunch
The Growthbuilt team were honoured to be a major sponsor of the Property of Australia NSW Diversity Lunch this week alongside Cushman & Wakefield. The lunch was hosted at the Hyatt Regency, with over 700 attendees welcomed by Growthbuilt’s Melanie Kurzydlo, followed by an inspiring Q&A facilitated by industry leaders David Harrison (Managing Director & CEO – Charter Hall), Carmel Hourigan (Global Head of Real Estate – AMP Capital), Steve McCann (Group CEO & Managing Director – Lendlease), Carol Schwartz AM (Board Member – Reserve Bank of Australia) and Natalie Wray (Risk and Audit Director – The GPT Group).
Melanie welcomed the event sharing what diversity and inclusions means to Growthbuilt. Diversity at Growthbuilt means valuing where people have come from, their story and the value they bring above all else.
Committed to Diversity
Growthbuilt is taking a market leading stance to address the under-representation of women in leadership roles across the construction industry. We’re proud to be recognised as an Equal Opportunity Employer, with women making up approximately 25 per cent of our workforce, across leadership and site-based positions – well above the industry average of 11.7 per cent (Workplace Gender Equality Agency, 2016). What’s more – we’re striving towards our aspirational target of 40 per cent women in our total workforce by 2019!
Growthbuilt is taking a market leading stance to address the underrepresentation of women in leadership roles across the construction industry – moving from our current leadership base of 20 per cent, to a more ambitious target of 30 per cent to be held by women by 2019.
We’re proud to be working alongside the Property Council of Australia, NSW Diversity Committee and Property Male Champions of Change to drive such positive change across the construction industry.
