Our task was to renovate and upgrade every room of Dougherty Care’s fully occupied aged care facility and dementia ward. The process was staged, relocating residents as briefly as possible to minimise disruption. This meant building half the new commercial kitchen and other areas at a time. Work included drilling piers into the basement level before coring through, raising the structure and building an 8-level pod on top.

“Dougherty provides Residential Aged Care and Retirement Living units for over 200 residents aged over 65 years many of whom are over 80 and infirm. This project involved Growthbuilt managing major demolition and construction works whilst all of our residents remain in residence… The Growthbuilt personnel are not only [managing] contractors, management and other service people, [and] most importantly they have displayed wonderful compassion with the elderly people whom they are working around.”
