A unique adaptive re-use project, Growthbuilt transformed the historic Majestic Theatre into prime, contemporary residential and commercial space, while conserving the heritage-listed facades and foyer.

“The original building covers almost 100% of the site, making space a premium and on-site management of the works exceedingly difficult. Furthermore the heritage rating identified a significant amount of the existing structure to be retained. The Interpretation Plan required a large number of items to be dismantled, stored on site and later reconstructed, contributing to the complexity of the project.

Despite these constraints, Growthbuilt completed the project under a Design Construct (D & C) arrangement for $6,700,000.00, which was extremely cost effective. Construction was completed in 69 weeks.
